Army and Marine Corps infantry Question?
Does any one know how they test for Red/Green color vision in the Army and Marine Corps infantry? I keep seeing “distinguish vivid red and vivid green” on all the websites. Is there anyone who has gotten into the infantry that has a color vision problem?

I’m also asking what kind of test they give. I’ve heard many different types but they’re never the same. I’ve heard that strings of colored yarn have been used and all you have to do is name them. Is this true?
At MEPs they give a standard vision test. It is one that you cant really fake. If you cant see the colors then you cannot see the images that you need to identify. I know about this because I was unaware that I was color blind until I got to MEPs. I know that sounds weird but it is true.
